With all the evil and suffering in the world over that past few days and my lack of posting here for a while, I thought it only necessary to post something I had written about a year ago.
“It is one thing to photograph people. It is another to make others care about them by revealing the core of their humanness.” – Paul Strand
This woman was under such duress at the mosque and shrine in Aishmuqam, that she had collapsed onto what I believe was her mother. Different religions, cultures and political views can often change your view of the people that surround you every day and it’s often not until you see true raw emotion that you realize we are all human. We all experience the same heartache, joy, pain, love and fear. No matter where, what or who you are, we all experience emotion through the ups and downs of life and all need the love and support of others through that.
We are all human.
Remember to look at others with the love, compassion and the respect that you would want this week and in the weeks ahead.
